Introducing the Get on Board MCP Server

By

When you source candidates inside an agent like Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Cursor, you can now connect it to Get on Board. The new MCP Server lets your agent search Talent Database — our first-party database of opted-in tech professionals across Latin America — from a plain-language brief, without leaving the conversation. It’s built for recruiter team members on a company with Get on Board access.

One thing to connect

There’s a single thing to connect: the server URL https://www.getonbrd.com/mcp. Paste it into your MCP client, sign in to Get on Board in the browser, pick the company you want to authorize, and approve. Your agent handles the rest — no API keys, no client IDs, no OAuth app to set up by hand.

Searching Talent Database

Once connected, your agent works straight against Talent Database:

  • Describe the candidate you need in plain language — role, stack, seniority, country, English level, salary range, industry background — and search_talent returns matching professionals with seniority, country, top skills, English level, and an AI-written recruiter summary.
  • Ask your agent to refine the search, compare profiles, or draft a shortlist from those summaries.
  • Open the Get on Board profile link on any result to review the full profile in the web app.

Searching requires a Talent Database plan on your company account. Unlocking contact details, inviting candidates, and moving them through your process stay in the Get on Board web app.

For example, you might tell your agent:

Find senior AI engineers in Chile, Mexico, or Colombia with strong English and recent applied-LLM experience.

Your agent calls search_talent and returns profiles like Senior AI engineer — Python, LLMs, RAG · Mexico · English C1, each with a link to open the full profile in Get on Board.

Two optional helpers round it out. whoami confirms which company and access your agent is using. And if you’ve already posted the role on Get on Board, list_jobs and job_details let your agent pull the description and application questionnaire straight from your open job — so you don’t retype the brief.

One layer, not a chain

Building agentic sourcing yourself usually means wiring together enrichment APIs like Apollo, Lusha, or ZoomInfo, scrapers, and a reasoning agent — and the contacts you often get never opted in. The MCP Server replaces that chain with a single first-party layer: opted-in candidates, contact details the candidates entered themselves, and summaries built for recruiters. No middlemen between you and the candidate.

Availability

The MCP Server is live today and works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, and any OAuth-compatible MCP client. A few things to know:

  • It’s for recruiter team members on accepted company memberships. Professionals and public users can’t connect.
  • It’s built for discovery. Contact details, invitations, and process management stay in the Get on Board web app.
  • Your session re-authorizes about every two hours — reconnect in the browser when your agent asks.
