We used our own data (over 15,000 jobs and 2 million applications between 2023 and 2025) to answer the key questions: Is AI taking our jobs? What skills really matter now? How much is being paid?

This report is an essential tool for professionals looking to adapt their careers and for companies needing to understand where to find the right talent and what trends are driving the market.

Key Findings: What's Happening in LatAm

The report concludes that AI isn't replacing jobs, but rather transforming them at an incredible speed.

Here are some of the key highlights:

  • The "AI Engineer" Boom: This role (focused on operating existing models) is in extremely high demand, gaining ground on the "Machine Learning Engineer" (training models). Salaries for experts can exceed $7,000 USD a month in LatAm, and there aren't enough candidates.
  • Mexico Pulls Ahead: Mexico is accelerating and leading the region in AI jobs within startups (14% of jobs now mention AI).
  • Design/UX in Trouble (with one exception): Overall demand in this category has dropped. However, demand is rising for Senior roles that integrate AI. The gap here is huge: only 6% of applicants for these positions are truly qualified.
  • AI Is No Longer Just for "Tech": Mentions of AI have skyrocketed +50% in roles like Marketing and Sales. Using LLMs, image generators, and automation tools (like n8n or Make) is no longer optional.
  • Spoiler: The "Vibe Coder" Doesn't Exist: Aside from anecdotal cases, companies are still looking for real technical skills to amplify what AI can do.
