Job description
The main goal of the Development Manager is to lead the technological development and innovation strategies for the company. As the Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving technological advancements, ensuring alignment with business goals, and spearheading initiatives to enhance our service offerings. The ideal Development Manager possesses a strong background in software development, a deep understanding of language technology, and the skills required to implement scalable solutions to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsabilities

  • Design and develop plug and play cross-platform solutions along with API across multiple channels
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the company's technological development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of innovative language technology solutions to enhance service delivery, streamline operations, and improve customer experience.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technology integration, process optimization, and automation across all aspects of the business.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on business strategy and recommending proactive measures to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, allocating resources effectively and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with technology vendors, institutions, and associations to leverage external expertise and resources.
  • Drive the development and implementation of data-driven strategies, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance language processing capabilities and improve business outcomes.
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations on technology-related matters to support strategic decision-making and long-term growth objectives.
  • Work alongside the leaders of other departments to ensure a smooth transition of strategies, platforms and software from one team to another, bearing in mind any specificities required by the teams outside the development purview.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Strong foundation in technology with a deep understanding of software development, cybersecurity and emerging trends
  • Proven track of developing and implementing IT and Development strategy and plans.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with the capacity to come up with solutions for the company and the team
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are needed for the position
  • C1, C2 or native English level, and additional languages are a plus
  • Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge is a plus
