Senior Data Engineer in Apply Digital Latam

Apply Digital is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and technology stacks for projects, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and develop data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and clients.

• Work with various internal disciplines, vendors and clients to define data requirements and technology stack for projects.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
• Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, and reference data.
• Define reference architecture that others can follow to create and improve data systems.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain data architectures and pipelines.
• Analyze and optimize existing data architectures for better performance.
• Create a plan of activities required to populate the new solutions with all current and historical data.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate data loading, transformation, and integration.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies for data engineering.
• Develop and implement best practices for data management, security, and privacy.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong expertise in SQL, ETL, and data warehousing technologies.
• Knowledge of Python and PySpark
• Proven experience in data modeling and analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of data migration tools and techniques.
• Good knowledge of databases.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda.
• Experience managing Snowflake instances, including data ingestion and modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data issues and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
