We are looking for a Software Engineer who can architect, develop, and deploy web applications that power a variety of leading-edge digital products. They will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to understand the requirements of a given problem — and provide software solutions that meet those needs.

Responsibilities

Create high-quality back-end applications, following best practices in software engineering.
Create and maintain efficient and well-organized project structures, following DRY principles.
Create and maintain documentation, implement and follow best practices for development workflow.
Design well-architected solutions in collaboration with engineers to meet business requirements.
Assess and select third-party services and products for each project.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
Bring ideas to the table to ensure we produce the best solutions for our clients.
Stay current on changes in technology and keep adding to your skill set.
Manage and maintain client relationships and be able to present and explain solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

Expertise in Java (≥8), Spring, and Spring Boot
Experience in handling integrations with third-party services using REST
Experience with relational and non-relational database engines
Experience with search appliance technologies, such as Algolia or Elastic
Top-notch communication skills
The resilience to work in a flexible environment with teams of various sizes
Passionate about technology and digital products
Highly collaborative; team player
Self-starter; able to juggle multiple projects at once
Eagerness to learn new technologies and programs with different languages

Nice to Haves

Experience with other backend languages
Experience with GraphQL and other future-facing client-server communication methods
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with architecting solutions on cloud providers
Understanding of modern JavaScript frontend frameworks
