About the position

We are looking for a Back End PHP Developer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, an Internet Company based in Santa Monica, California.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Work with a team of high level dedicated engineers and product managers in the creation of our e-commerce platform, tools for artists, mobile optimized sites, and search/discovery for our millions of pieces of art
Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and build well-crafted scalable solutions that will meet the demands of our high volume of daily traffic and daily transactions
Produce high-quality results by leading or contributing heavily to large cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Requirements

Advanced Level of English
Senior Back End Developer with strong experience in microservices architecture, OOP and design, refactoring legacy code, among others
+ 5 Years of experience working with PHP 5.X/7.X
+5 years experience working with Symfony 2.4/3.3/4 or Laravel
+4 years experience working with MySQL 5/8, Redis, memcache, MongoDB, or similar
+3 years experience working with ElasticSearch/Sphinx SE
+3 years experience working with RabbitMQ 3.6/AWS SQS
Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working with AWS (s3, SNS, RDS, SQS, Route53)

Bonus Points

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields
Experience with version control Systems such as Git
Experience with NginX
Experience with xDebug
