The NBA team, Miami Heat, and Applaudo started working together back in 2018. They initially hired us to redesign their mobile application; after that successful project, they came for more! We helped them to redesign their website, their email templates, and to create a couple of amazing tools for their internal operations.

Walmart Inc. is an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores, headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas. They came to us to help them with cloud migration and to update their ERP.

Job functions

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with peers and deliver on technical design, work estimation, and implementation of new mobile applications and features including UI aspects and server interactions.
  • Prototype new innovative features with the newest APIs and tools on the Android platform.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to raising the quality of our product.

Qualifications and requirements

Technical skills:

  • Languages: Kotlin and Java
  • Dagger2
  • RxJava - RxAndroid

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in developing native Android applications.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Kotlin/Java, and the Android Platform.
  • Based on the level will have an expansive knowledge of the general Android landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
  • Good understanding of the client/server architecture and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Good understanding of XML and JSON.
  • English is a requirement, as you will be working directly with US-based clients.
