Web Designer in Jumpseller

Jumpseller is a SaaS solution for small business to manage their online business. We focus on making e-commerce easier for everyone, so businesses can focus on what they do best: building and selling their products. Today, merchants use the Jumpseller platform to manage every aspect of their online business — from products to orders to customers, selling with an online store, on mobile, on social networks and through different e-commerce channels.

Our team is collaborating from 2 offices, one in Porto, Portugal, and another in Santiago, Chile, and our working culture is international. You will join our Design Team along with Carlos, Elsa, Francisco & Patricio.

We're looking for a Front-end Designer to join our Design Team. We are looking for someone in love with simple and minimalist UIs, who will give their best to improve the usability of these interfaces.

You will interact and help all our merchants on a daily basis and also with our development team, in both offices, pushing forward the envelope on everything related with the UX and aesthetics of our service.

You Will

• Gather requirements from key Jumpseller clients or internally from our support/marketing teams;
• Turn Mockups in HTML, CSS and Javascript code that deal with the wonders of browser compatibilities;
• Integrate this code into Jumpseller platform, producing ready to use e-commerce themes or Admin Panel's features;
• Troubleshoot merchants' problems, by directly fixing (or extending) our current Themes or working with our Development Team for more complex issues;
• Take responsibility and ownership of your work.

Your work day
Some of the projects and activities that we have been working on recently to give you a sense of what you’ll be doing day-to-day.

• Receive Adobe XD Mockups for a new Shipment List UI - which will give an overview to a merchant of all his delivery status - and help the implementation with the development team;
• Interact directly via email with dozens of merchants helping them improve the UI of their stores' front-end and troubleshooting any UI bug they might find;
• Help on the collaborative launch of a new Public Theme, to all merchants;
• Work together with developers on our new UI of our Visual Theme Editor, which will allow drag&drop capabilities to our Themes;
• Revamp an existing Theme to use Liquid Components.

You have

• Interest or experience in e-commerce platforms, like Jumpseller, Shopify, VTEX or Wix;
• Attentive to details, producing pixel-perfect work;
• Proven professional experience on design and implementation of UIs;
• Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS. Bootstrap or similar frameworks are a plus;
• Interest in optimizing designs for UX - either desktop and mobile;
• Strong, clean visual design sense - say minimalist.

Desirable skills

• Javascript / jQuery / React knowledge is a strong plus;
• Experience in Templating markup languages, like Liquid or Smarty, is a strong plus;
• A team player, excellent in communication, who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment;
• Conversational English, to attend some meetings. Day-to-day is mostly in Spanish;
• A bachelor/master degree in Web Design, Graphic Design or Informatics is optional.
