Senior Back-end Product Engineer (Node.js) in Breezy HR

Breezy HR is a remote-first hiring platform tailored for small and mid-sized businesses. We are expanding our SaaS product with LLM-enabled workflows and a backend-first focus to deliver fast, reliable experiences for both candidates and hiring managers. You’ll contribute to core features, improve data pipelines, and integrate managed AI capabilities (AWS Bedrock) to power smarter recruiting processes. We’re seeking a senior backend engineer with 7+ years of web application experience and a strong track record shipping scalable, API-driven systems. You’ve built and operated production services in Node.js, including microservices, REST APIs, and asynchronous workflows. You’re comfortable working with data stores like MongoDB and Redis (schema design, indexing, caching, performance). This role requires that you’ve shipped at least one production LLM workflow end-to-end using AWS Bedrock (not a prototype), with reliability and cost/latency in mind. You communicate clearly in English (B2+ required, C1 preferred), document decisions, work autonomously with a bias toward action, and bring strong product ownership, turning ambiguous goals into shipped outcomes. You must be located in Colombia for payroll/compliance.
