Job functions

As we prepare to grow and further develop our product, we are seeking to fill the position of Senior Frontend Engineer. The candidate must have excellent documentation skills, attention to detail, and time management skills. We are seeking an individual who can help us create the next-level platform in digital banking for business. The candidate will report to the Director of Engineering.

Build and Implement new features and generate reusable code for future use. The creation of these features will impact the result of the overall company, so attention to product design and customer interaction is imperative.
Integrate UX/UI designs into the structure and make sure that they are feasible for the front-end team.
Collaborate with other software engineers to define specifications and particularities in the consumption of services based on requirements, using acceptable programming practices, integrating APIs, and following internally established guidelines.
Develop, use, and maintain internal libraries to minimize technical debt and time required during the different stages of the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
Contribute to the front-end engineer area’s long-term vision and strategy, staying informed, proposing, and implementing different practices for programming and quality assurance. He/she must also be willing to mentor the team and make them grow in technical skills.
Collaborate with product departments and design departments to define tasks, deadlines, and personal deliveries. Contribute to make this relationship as seamless as possible.
Estimate delivery times for assigned tasks and give updates to these tasks. He/She should also be ready to plan, execute, and deliver products.
Participate in active communication with the different team members to be aware of the status of the projects in which he/she participates and problems that require an immediate solution and provide and receive feedback.

Qualifications and requirements

B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related field
5+ years of total experience in frontend roles
2+ years of experience using React
Have solid experience developing and integrating clients using different web technologies.
Have strong knowledge of Javascript under different paradigms like object-oriented and event-driven development.
Have substantial experience in software testing
Are autonomous and proactive
Have a strong understanding of UX/UI principles
Approach problems with a team player mentality

Desirable skills

2+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer
Previous startup experience
Experience working in a distributed team
