Job functions

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals.
  • Responsible for maintaining and evolving critical datasets such as key metrics, royalty calculations, financial forecasting and performance management.
  • Design and implement data pipelines with requirements for scalability, availability and quality.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders, engineering, data science and product partners.
  • Code, test, and document new or modified data systems.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field).
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the development of high-quality database solutions.
  • Strong coding skills, preferably Scala, Java and Python in a data-focused role.
  • Experience performing analysis with large datasets in a cloud based-environment, preferably with an understanding of Google’s Cloud Platform or AWS.
  • Experience on big-data environments, such as Hadoop, Spark, Pig, BigQuery or Hive.
  • Strong communication and data presentation skills (Tableau, PowerBI or Qlik).
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Desirable skills

  • Expertise in building out data pipelines, efficient ETL implementation and maintenance.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
