Purpose of the role and main missions

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of your role will be to help maintain and grow the financial safety of our group company, Closer Work Americas. This will allow us to create an impact on the lives of healthcare organisations, healthcare professionals and patients.

MAIN MISSIONS:
Our group will start small, with approximately 5 to 10 people at the group level and 2 individuals at the business unit level (1 for each business unit). This small structure will allow to establish a strong foundation for our group in an agile manner, prior to our scale-up.

Key priorities during this phase include:

Designing and setting up our Accounting and Financial Reporting function, both at the group level and for our initial business units, covering areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and reporting.
Establishing a robust Financial Planning framework.
Ensuring compliance and optimization in Taxation.
Implementing and configuring suitable Accounting Software solutions.
Developing and maintaining a Shareholding Scheme for company partners.
Setting up efficient accounting processes tailored for our small business units.
Addressing additional foundational needs as they arise.
Set-up intercompany transactions and transfer pricing framework.

Requirements

10+ years professional experience in finance/accounting.
Willing to start the role in an small structure (early stage start-up), and carry out hands on work.
The role is remote, so you could be based in any country in North America (e.g. Canada), Central or South America
