How many people does it take to create an app that makes it easier for people to buy what they need? At least 500, because that's how many engineers our team has working across the Americas.

The engineering team is dedicated to producing intuitive technology for customers, Shoppers and stores alike, while using technology and creativity to solve challenges along the way. That's why we're looking for our new Cyberdefense Lead to help support the growth and development of the defense security teams and implement the functions of anomaly detection, incident response and mitigation, securing cloud infrastructure and physical facilities, investigation and search for threats.

What will you do?

- Lead and Manage the team (SOC): onboarding, training, mentoring, development.

- Support Governance, Risk and Compliance Policies implementation: awareness, event management, incident management, etc.

- Ensure the events raised by our SIEM arrive on time, keep the false positives low, improve correlations, constantly review the sources.

- Outline, Plan and Develop the Incident Response team.

- Prepare and deliver Operational Reports to Uber

- Experience managing security teams.

- Experience dealing with security incidents.

- Being able to reach out to other teams to ask for collaboration in investigations or incident responses, in English.

- Being able to keep the team motivated, focused and happy.

- You are empowered, creative and autonomous.

- You have experience in large environments.

- You have knowledge and experience operating/configuring any SIEM.
