We are looking for DevOps Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience in Ruby on Rails, the core framework for our applications, and AWS, the cloud provider. You’ll be part of an awesome international Operations team, participating in main technical decisions, shaping the projects you work on and transmitting your technological vision. This position is oriented to find software developers who want to be part of the challenge to keep a reliable infrastructure, and to be very hands-on to understand applications and changing the code when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible to keep up and running our infrastructure and its underlying services.
  • Applications maintenance when needed.
  • Hands-on in the application's code to resolve incidents.
  • Understand application’s lifecycle, from development to production.
  • Automate wherever is possible to reduce toil and to increase reliability, efficiency, and happiness.
  • Help developers to release their code faster, providing infrastructure support for environments like development, staging, production.
  • Troubleshoot running services in case of failures.

Requirements

  • AWS experience: +3 years. Understanding main AWS products and use cases. Provide services using CloudFormation, or another IaC tool.
  • Kubernetes, Docker experience: +1 year. Managing containers and images. Release management.
  • Linux administration and Bash programming is also required.
  • Experience in configuration management systems such as Ansible or related.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written. Communicate effectively.
  • Monitoring and logging tools like NewRelic, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, among others.
  • CI/CD, DroneCI, GitHub Actions.

Nice to have

  • Incident management tools like PagerDuty, OpsGenie, others.
  • NodeJS - Typescript.
  • AWS certification (Cloud Partitioner).
  • Ruby on Rails framework.
