3nets.io. is a Santa Clara, CA-based company engaged in developing a service-aware elastic networking platform that adapts to the needs of customer applications including the modern microservices-based application environment. The software-based platform leverages commercially available hardware and public and private cloud infrastructure. The enterprises or MSPP's customers could express intent through policy rules that control and drive the network's behavior.

Job functions

  • Design and implement multifaceted microservices for 3Nets Multi Cloud Networking solutions on Kubernetes
  • Understand, research and cohesively architect designs with diverse Cloud vendor infrastructures, particularly centered around Networking
  • Closely work and collaborate with other engineers, product teams and testing/automation teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Enhance and develop components across the solution, including cloud orchestration, resource management, metrics/logging/alerting, message queuing & pub/sub, access control and network security, scaling and performance etc.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers, traditional and cloud networking, git and CI/CD, and ability to work with multiple languages (golang, python, C/C++, javascript etc)
  • Take ownership, work independently and proactively drive to improve product quality and allow faster and reliable releases

Qualifications and requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in distributed software development & design, particularly in networking and security, with recent experience in Kubernetes and container-based solutions
  • Strong experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, others) IaaS, Networking (cloud & traditional), Compute Instances, Security and good awareness of modern CI/CD development principles
  • Proficient programming skills in multiple programming languages including Python, Golang, C/C++, Javascript etc. Must be able to work with multiple repositories in different languages and libraries/frameworks.
  • Good working knowledge of networking, including switching, routing, transport/network protocols, security and overlays. Fast learner with ability to understand core features and components.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with desire and ability to lean in for guidance, independently propose ideas and solution approaches.
  • Experience developing and implementing containerized microservices, horizontal and vertical autoscaling, github/gitlab-based development and workflows/pipelines, and working with kubernetes clusters.
  • Understanding of modern logging/telemetry solutions (e.g. ELK, Datadog), time series metrics (e.g. Prometheus, InfluxDB), REST API implementations and service mesh, using third-party cloud APIs, high availability and distributed large-scale architectures
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Desirable skills

  • Experience developing or contributing to a cloud-based XaaS solutions
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE, hybrid/multi-cloud designs, databases and APIs
  • Understanding of full-stack development and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Hacker mentality with team player attitude to work collaboratively, with continuous desire to take upon challenging tasks
