Back-end Engineer / Tech Lead in Picker

Picker is a VC-backed startup 💪. Currently running through the 500startups program (Batch14).

We are looking to simplify the way eCommerce connects with delivery providers. We want to be the first delivery gateway in Latin America, connecting thousands of stores with thousands of riders.

From creating APIs, Plugins to No-Code solutions, we want to be the easiest platform to connect and the one that offers the most delivery startup options.

We are looking for our Tech Lead that should have a strong backend base, so he can help us build the product we are envisioning.

Leader Role

• Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
• Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Liaising with team members and management to ensure projects are completed to standard.
• Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
• Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
• Updating work schedules and performing troubleshooting as required.
• Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
• Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
• Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.

Developer Role

• You will develop end-to-end delivery solutions and infrastructures with the team. Especially on the architectural side.
• You will give maintenance to the backend code and servers.
• You will be responsible for the design and architecture of the product.
• You will be in charge of monitoring your releases periodically.
• You will be expected to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

• Ability to understand the multiple needs and opportunities that arise every day in the startup and find the simplest and most efficient way to develop them.
• You will have to demonstrate experience designing and simplifying complex infrastructures, capable of being integrated between them.
