Back-end Engineer (Java) in Dominion

We develop custom software following strict quality standards and agile methodologies. Our objective is to maximize the efficiency of the processes through the innovative and intelligent application of technology.

We work in the fields of activity of Technology, Telecommunications, Industry and Energy, and we provide services in B2C environments.

• Build, test and maintain back-end components, including security, data model and application logic, in line with software engineering best practices.
• Build services that interact with another components including AWS.
• Collaborate with internal and external teammates and stakeholders to build and improve back-end services.
• Draft architectural decisions together with the Tech Lead and explore new technologies.
• Take an active part in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other members of the team.
• Ensure quality of the product through unit testing, documentation and maintenance as appropriate.

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field plus 2/3/5 years work experience or
• MS with 3 years of relevant experience Experience with Java / J2EE, Oracle / NOSQL DBs, JSON, XML

Nice to have:

• Experience with Node JS, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3
• Experience building web and RESTFul applications Experience working with frameworks such as Spring MVC
• Experience with event driven programming handling large volume of events Knowledge of core CS concepts such as common data structures and algorithms Code samples from private github repos, side projects, and open source project contributions is a plus
