What this role looks like

  • At Topsort we believe that creating a delightful employee experience from hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining talent is core to our success. As the HR Generalist, you'll be an early member of our HR team and help to build Topsort's people practices. The perfect fit is someone who likes to execute swiftly, wear many hats, and embrace change.
  • You will be running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

  • You’ll report directly to our CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Craft an employee experience that exudes warmth. Ensure that employees are taken care of in the moments that matter most (both the highs and the lows)
  • New hire onboarding - background checks, benefits orientation, and ensure all new employees feel included and have the tools and resources they need to excel at Topsort
  • Act as the initial point of contact for employees on questions related to (but not limited to!) benefits, compensation, leave of absences, accommodation requests, etc
  • Manage the day-to-day HR tools and systems; experience with Rippling HRIS, a plus
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations, maintaining employee files, etc
  • Employee off-boarding - separation paperwork and process
  • Execute monthly compensation review process
  • Recruiting both inbound and outbound and work with hiring managers

Requirements

  • 4+ years of HR experience building international teams, connecting with multicultural employees and have proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • 4+ years of HR experience in fields such as process & operations, employee relations, cross-functional partnership with leaders, and exposure to diversity/inclusion initiatives
  • Highly adaptable, organized person, able to work autonomously, and will thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in the tech industry,
  • Been an early HR hire at a fast-growing start-up will be a plus!
  • US based in Boston
