- Design, implement, configure, and maintain Elasticsearch clusters to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Monitor and analyze cluster health, performance metrics, and resource utilization to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and fine-tune search queries and filters to enhance search accuracy, relevance, and speed.
- Optimize indexing strategies and mappings for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement improvements in application code related to Elasticsearch integration.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve Elasticsearch-related problems, such as indexing failures, query performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
- Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of failures.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the Elasticsearch environment, configurations, and best practices.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of extensive hands-on experience as an Elasticsearch Administrator, including cluster setup, configuration, and performance optimization.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming for automation, scripting, and custom tool development.
- Solid understanding of search engine concepts, information retrieval principles, and relevant algorithms.
- Familiarity with SQL Server and MySQL databases, including the ability to write and optimize SQL queries (nice to have).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for Elasticsearch, such as the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- English fluency is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of profiling software solutions.
- Experience working with AWS Infrastructure, EC2.
